Aluminum roofing sheets alloy selection

The chemical composition of aluminum alloy for aluminum tiles refers to the national standard GB/T 3190-2006.

According to the alloy composition, 1050 En 1060 are pure aluminum, with an aluminum content of more than 99.5%;

3003 is an aluminum-manganese alloy with good alloy hardness and anti-rust function;

3004 is also a series of aluminum-manganese alloys, with higher strength than 3003, excellent formability, good corrosion resistance, and requires parts with higher strength than 3003 alloy.

5052 is an aluminum-magnesium alloy with higher hardness.

3004 En 5052 are widely used in aluminum tiles.

Aluminum roofing sheets coating material

Customers usually require a coating on the surface, and a small number of customers choose a plain sheet.

PE (polyester) and PVDF (fluorkoolstof) are the most common. The coating color can be selected according to the RAL color card number, or it can be sampled according to customer needs.

Fluorocarbon coatings are very weather-resistant and can withstand sun and rain, acid rain, salt spray and other air pollutants, strong ultraviolet radiation and oxidation, and have a service life of more than 10-20 jaren.

Polyester coatings have average weather resistance, but they also have a certain anti-ultraviolet ability, which can effectively isolate the outside world from pollution of the main material of roof tiles, and have a service life of 3-5 jaren.

PVDF should be recommended when the customer describes the use environment as humid near the sea or in a harsh environment.

Thickness range: 0.4-1.0mm

Effective width refers to the width after pressing the tile, range: 780-900MM

Expanded width refers to the width before pressing the tile, 1000MM

If the factory quotes based on area, they calculate the width based on the effective width.

The factory’s tile type is fixed, the width is not adjustable, and the length can be produced according to customer requirements.

The difference between size and effective size

Effective width: the distance between slots for quality inspection, not the distance from edge to edge

In order to protect the tile surface coating during production and transportation, a transparent film is usually applied when producing aluminum base coils.

For transportation safety, wooden pallets and iron pallets are usually used for packaging according to the size of the goods.

Algemeen, wooden pallets can be selected when the length does not exceed 6 meters and the weight of a single pallet does not exceed 3 tons.

Iron pallets are recommended when the length is greater than 6 meters and the weight of a single pallet is greater than 2.5 tons.

Packaging calculation:

The height is calculated based on the general board and then the height of the pressed tile is added

Aluminum roofing sheets loading

When the length of the goods does not exceed 6 meters, they can be loaded in the normal way. If the length exceeds 6 meters, it is recommended to replace the open top container.

The maximum length of the forklift arm at the terminal is 2 meters. When the aluminum sheet is too long, it is easy to be unevenly stressed and damage the goods during the loading process.

The cost of our own freight forwarding open top container is about 500-800 yuan higher than that of ordinary loading. The business needs to pay attention to this when quoting.
